The idea of ‘following the white rabbit’, of living outside the herd, is present in Eulogia Merle’s world as a background, a veil that envelops all her works, weaving stories and characters present in her memory or unconscious, proposing alternative realities through a sort of magical realism that installs existential questions with a certain playful, intentional and enthusiastic air.

To go, to search, to browse. The adrenaline generated by the uncertainty of not wanting to know where to stay: that is where her creative strength lies, where each of the scenes selected for this exhibition is born. The common thread, which allows her to let her instinct run free, leads her to continually rethink her origins: America, Europe, her course, her ways of life, her customs, adopted or acquired, and yet not needing to choose or discard any of them.
